Should I do early decision/early admission?

If you know you have one dream school, sure. Do early admission. It can dramatically increase your odds of getting accepted. But if the early decision is binding, you better be 100% sure you want to go there. Most schools will blacklist students who’ve already committed to an early decision school, and won’t admit you if you change your mind. Also, only do early admission if money isn’t an object. Most schools will offer some sort of financial aid to allow you to attend. But often it’s in the form of loans that will have to be paid back. If money’s an issue, you may want to see what other offers you get before committing to one school. You’d hate to get accepted to your early decision school and be buried in debt, only to have to turn down a full-ride scholarship offer from another great university.
