Sierra Bivens

Hi! My name is Sierra. I graduated from University of Nevada, Reno in 2020 with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering. After graduating, I lived in Las Vegas and worked in the nuclear medicine manufacturing industry. Recently, I have returned to beautiful northern Nevada and am working as a chemical engineer in lithium battery recycling, refining, and remanufacturing; focusing on research and development, as well as commercial plant operations. My passion for sustainability is equal to my passion for STEM outreach and education. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the opportunity to attend bootcamps and partner with amazing tutors. I hope to return the favor by helping and inspiring the next generation of bright thinkers.
