Chris Suksangasophon

Hello! Hope you’re doing well. My name is Chris Suksangasophon. I strongly believe that my knowledge of curriculum instruction, along with 15 years of teaching experience, would make me an ideal candidate to tutor your child. Listed below are some of the highlights of my career.1994 to 2012 – I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with emphasis in chemistry (B.A.) and secondary education (M.Ed.). 2005 to 2010 – Life’s journey landed me at Desert Rose Adult High School in North Las Vegas. I taught geoscience and math proficiency there. 2010 to 2015 – I taught computer programming and technology at the Coral Academy of Science in Henderson. In 2011, I coached at the annual First Lego League robotics competition that takes place in Las Vegas. 2015 to 2018 – I worked at the Nevada Virtual Academy as a STEM Teacher and, at the same time, earned a STEM certificate. I taught geoscience, Computer Science and Scalable Game Design, a class that developed students’ computational thinking patterns through the creation of games and simulations. 2020 to 2022 – I’m currently working at Cristo Rey St Viator (in North Las Vegas) where I teach Algebra, Geometry, and Microsoft Office.

The above experiences have given me valuable insights on how to become a successful educator. I have the patience to deal with kids, and the knowledge to teach them. Being on-time, fair, organized, and caring are just parts of the job. I’ve been known for thinking positively, being flexible, and using logic to take on challenges that we all face in everyday life.
I believe that learning is a continuous process. I enjoy working with students, teaching and learning from them. When I am around students, the atmosphere is never boring. Students have opportunities to think critically and creatively. I feel that my knowledge of curriculum instruction and teaching experience would make me an excellent tutor for your child. It would be nice to have an opportunity to work with you and help your child reach his or her goals.
