Cherish Sullivan

Cherish is an experienced educator with over 10 years of experience working with students of all age groups, backgrounds, and levels of academic proficiencies, including those with learning disabilities. She is skilled and trained at using effective methods of teaching that focus on individual student needs, and has a strong passion for helping students learn and grow.

Cherish graduated from UNR in 2017 with a bachelors degree in International Affairs and a double minor in East Asian Studies and Japanese Language. After graduating at UNR in 2017, she enrolled into graduate school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and studied to receive her Masters in Secondary Education, with a focus on social sciences. While studying, she complete both her practicum and student teaching and received her teaching degree in 2020.

Over the past ten years Cherish has built up extensive work experience in education both while studying in university and since she has graduated. Cherish spent seven summers working as a camp counselor at summer camps for children aged 10-17, three years working part-time as a tutor at UNR while she was in college, five years guest teaching at a variety of schools all across CCSD, three years teaching English in Japan to 9th graders, and taught a variety of subjects including all levels of English, Math, and History through private tutoring on the side since 2015.

Cherish has dedicated her entire studies and career to education, and being able to teach and share knowledge with students is her passion.
