• 14.2 million Number of computers available for classroom use in the nation’s 114,700 elementary and secondary schools; that comes down to 1 computer for every 4 students.

• Currently 100 Percent of public schools have Internet access. In 1995, the proportion was 50 percent.

• Most schools are now implementing the use of digital dissections in Biology class.  Allowing students to choose between dissecting a real-life animal or through a digital program on a computer.

• Apple has launched a huge campaign to implement the use of iPad’s in all age-level classrooms throughout the world.  With this new digital technology, it could make the use of chalkboards completely obsolete in the near future.
