What is Tutors Across America?  We provide a one stop shop for students seeking tutors. We offer the security of a reputable company, while keeping rates reasonable for clients, and paying our tutors well.

Why should I work for Tutors Across America?
If you’re a good tutor who loves teaching, but hates: marketing, advertising, chasing down payments, low pay, and struggling to find clients, then this is the place for you.

How much does the position pay?
Kaplan, Princeton Review, Sylvan, and Huntington pay their tutors between 10-18% of what the company charges. Our company Founder quit Kaplan because he knew there had to be a better way. At Tutors Across America, our tutors often earn more than half of what a client pays the company.

What is the lesson cancellation policy?
Both students and tutors should provide at least 24 hrs. notice prior to a cancellation/reschedule request. If student cancels less than 24 hrs. in advance more than once, a warning may be issued by the tutor, after which any subsequent last minute cancellations will be charged at a rate of 1 hour of tutoring.

How do I contact students/parents who are interested in working with me?
Students/parents will contact you via phone/email. It’s important to get in touch with them right away. All email correspondence with students/parents must be CC’d to staff@tutorsacrossamerica.com

May I tutor students I find outside of the Tutors Across America website?
Yes, any tutoring you do through Tutors Across America is independent of tutoring opportunities you find through other means. However, all Tutors Across America interactions need to be completed and paid for through our website.
